Submitting Appeals


Complete Form 130.
Complete Power of Attorney if necessary.
Check the information needed to verify you have included the required documentation.
Hand deliver or return by mail, e-mail, or fax. 

Appeals must be submitted within 45 days of the mailing date on the Form 11 
(assessment notice).

Board Appointments


The PTABOA is comprised of two appointments made by the City/County Council, one of whom must be certified by the Department of Local Government Finance as a Level II Assessor-Appraiser, unless waived. Three freehold appointments are made by the County Commissioners, one of whom must be certified by the Department of Local Government Finance as a Level II Assessor-Appraiser, unless waived. County Assessor is the secretary. (No more than three members may be from the same political party.) (IC 6-01.1- 28-01)
  1. 2017 Form 11 (Assessment Notice) Mailed

    As of 21 July 2017 Form 11s (Assessment Notices) have been mailed. All appeals for the 2017 assessment, 2018 property tax bill, must be filed within the next 45 days. The deadline to file an appeal is 7 September 2017.
